Job description

Job Requisition: Senior Systems Engineer 

Position Title: Senior Systems EngineerDepartment: [SEAIT]Clearance Requirements: [Secret]

Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with strong experience in system verification, requirements development, and requirements derivation. The ideal candidate will also have experience or familiarity with Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) systems. In this role, the engineer will participate in the full systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring rigorous technical development, traceability, and compliance across complex system architectures.

Key Responsibilities:• Develop, decompose, and derive system and subsystem requirements• Lead and perform system verification planning, test case development, and verification execution• Ensure requirements traceability using systems engineering tools such as DOORS or equivalent• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and integration engineers• Support design reviews, technical analyses, and risk assessments• Contribute to architecture development and system modeling, as needed• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers• Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting during development and integration phases• Support PNT-related system design, algorithm understanding, or integration tasks (desired)

Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or a closely related field• Demonstrated experience in requirements derivation, development, and management• Proven expertise in system verification and validation• Experience with systems engineering tools (DOORS, Cameo, or similar)• Strong communication and technical documentation skills• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams

Desired Qualifications:• Experience with PNT technologies (GPS, IMU/INS, timing solutions, sensor fusion, etc.)• Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE)• Advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline• Familiarity with military, aerospace, or guidance/navigation systems• Experience in integration and test environments, especially for mission-critical systems
