Job description

Visa Technology & Operations LLC, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Systems Engineer (multiple openings) in New York, New York to:

  • Architect, plan, and migrate legacy video conference infrastructure to the cloud.
  • Support MTR and AV systems in conference rooms, auditoriums, studios, training rooms, and open collaboration spaces.
  • Provide engineering support for live events using Microsoft Teams Live Events.
  • Help administer and set policies for MS Teams, Microsoft Voice, and Audiocodes.
  • Support telephony infrastructure for softphones and desk phones for end-users.
  • Perform proof-of-concept (POC) tests and validation on new and emerging UCaaS and AV technologies.
  • Provide tier 3 engineering support for escalated issues and resolve tickets within established SLAs.
  • Establish global relationships and ensure regional handoffs are performed for escalated issues.
  • Train IT helpdesk, Exec IT, engineers, and end-users on how to use Microsoft Teams and MTRs.
  • Create design documents, wikis, and how-to instructions.
  • Work with the Information Security Office to ensure solutions deployed meet Visa Security Requirements, provide technical assistance for investigation and analysis of security alerts, and maintain system security for voice and video systems.
  • Provide project coordination and technical review for new office builds and refresh projects to ensure they adhere to company policy, are completed on time and within budget, meet the deliverables of the project while following change control procedures.
  • Position reports to the New York, New York office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Basic Qualifications

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Broadcasting & Communications, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Systems Engineer - related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following
  • Telecommunication like E911 and SBC;
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 Services;
  • Scripting and automation experience in PowerShell;
  • Integrating with third-party apps using APIs or connectors;
  • UCaaS (MS Teams) and AV industry;
  • Planning, architecting, and deploying Microsoft Teams and MTRs in a large enterprise;
  • Security implications and network dependencies for Microsoft Teams, MTRs, and Azure;
  • Routing, switching, QoS, proxies, firewalls and their potential impact on voice, video, and web streaming network environments;
  • Analyzing, troubleshooting, and creating root cause analysis (RCA) reports with action plans on remediation;
  • Analytical, interpersonal, facilitation and leadership skills along with effective oral/written communication skills;
  • MS-700 Certification;
  • Power BI and Azure Dashboard;
  • Deploying Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Webex Rooms; and
  • Microsoft Teams Live Events.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $150,550.00 to $190,900.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
