Job Description
The Senior Director of Marketing Strategy and Innovation (Premium Products) is primarily responsible for driving consumer usage and payment volume growth for our business units, products, and markets that seek to build relevance and preference among the affluent consumer segment. A deep expert-level understanding of the luxury and premium space, consumer trends and insights, the client and product landscape is critical to success, as well as an ability to then turn that perspective into effective and innovative marketing strategies for our global product team and markets around the world. Importantly, this position will lead the Center of Excellence tasked with driving innovation, subject matter expertise, and market enablement.
This Marketing Leader and her/his team will work with executives, key global business stakeholders and regional brand and client teams to successfully bring to life - and evolve over time - the premium proposition of Visa Infinite and other offerings from Visa.
The position reports to the Vice President, Global Brand Marketing - Consumer Products and will be based in Visa's New York or San Francisco Office.
Essential Functions:
Establish, lead and optimize global premium products marketing strategy.
- Define the end-to-end global marketing vision for Premium Products, including Visa Infinite, grounded in consumer insights, competitive dynamics, and product strategy.
- Serve as the single point of marketing ownership for Global Product's Affluent & Benefits teams, aligning brand, benefits, and product roadmaps into a cohesive B2B2C approach.
- Oversee premium brand architecture, positioning, naming, and migration strategies in partnership with Brand Management and Regions.
Innovate the Visa Infinite brand by anticipating consumer trends and applying insights to actionable strategies that improve brand preference for this segment.
- Advance an innovation agenda that moves premium marketing and the Visa Infinite brand into new spaces and experiences through AI, new platforms, partnerships, talent, and channels.
- Identify white-space opportunities and develop action plans in response to competitive moves to drive category distinction and product superiority.
- Partner with Product, Insights & Analytics, and external partners to pilot and scale new premium propositions and benefits-led experiences and consumer apps.
Deliver world class go-to-market execution for Global Product
- Establish an ongoing and optimized global product marketing launch and benefits amplification strategy, including toolkits, playbooks, and multi-seasonal plans for marketing teams.
- Ensure premium brand strategy is consistently integrated across campaigns, sponsorships, digital experiences, and regional activations.
- Drive marketing strategy integration with Sponsorships, Marketing Services, and the Global Benefits Team to lead and optimize the product-marketing experiences in music, dining, sports, and entertainment to define the spaces and places the Visa Infinite brand and proposition should be deployed.
- Lead global coordination with Marketing Functions and Regional teams to enable high-quality, on-strategy execution at scale.
Build Consumer Learning and Measurement Agenda
- Define and lead the global consumer learning agenda for affluent segments in partnership with Insights & Analytics and develop a rich understanding of which benefits and payment features shift consumer behavior to enhance the product.
- Establish clear, globally adopted measurement frameworks to assess brand, benefits engagement, and business impact, with Brand Measurement teams.
Lead, Develop, and Inspire High-Performing Teams
- Lead and develop a team across Infinite Brand Marketing Strategy and Affluent Benefits Marketing.
- Set clear vision, priorities, and operating rhythms to ensure excellence in strategy development and execution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and growth within a highly matrixed global organization.
- Lead and oversee agency relationships along with budget management.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $210,900.00 to $ 369,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable).
