Job Description
Visa Destinations is a strategic growth initiative within Visa's Global Cross-Border business, focused on strengthening Visa's travel value proposition and helping cardholders discover, access, and redeem differentiated experiences, benefits, offers, and travel-related services across Visa and issuer channels. As Visa continues to expand its travel ecosystem, digital capabilities, and AI-driven experiences, Visa Destinations plays a critical role in driving cardholder engagement, cross-border spend, issuer value, and merchant partnerships.
The Director, Product Management will lead strategic product and platform portfolios within Visa Destinations, driving product strategy, roadmap execution, solution design, and delivery across digital experiences and platform capabilities. This individual will be responsible for translating business objectives into scalable products, accelerating innovation, establishing delivery discipline, and ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives across a highly matrixed organization.
The successful candidate combines product leadership, technical acumen, operational rigor, and executive presence to accelerate platform scale and readiness, strengthen delivery governance, and drive execution against strategic commitments. They will establish accountability across internal and external stakeholders, proactively manage expectations, and help shape the next generation of travel experiences through digital innovation, AI-enabled capabilities, and platform modernization.
Essential Functions
Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
  • Define and evolve the vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for assigned Visa Destinations product portfolios.

  • Identify opportunities to expand platform capabilities, improve customer experiences, and accelerate business growth.

  • Translate market opportunities, customer needs, and business objectives into product strategies and actionable roadmaps.

  • Develop business cases, product proposals, and prioritization recommendations to support investment decisions.

  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders on product direction, priorities, and success metrics.

  • Drive prioritization decisions across competing business, technology, operational, and market needs to maximize impact and resource efficiency.

Platform Products & Digital Experiences
  • Lead the development and evolution of strategic Visa Destinations capabilities and experiences.

  • Potential areas of responsibility may include:

  • Website and digital experiences

  • Martech and content platforms

  • Loyalty and benefits capabilities

  • Offer and merchant ecosystems

  • Marketplace and partner integrations

  • AI-enabled experiences, future platform innovations, and emerging technologies

  • Identify and drive product innovations, including AI-enabled capabilities, personalization, automation, and emerging technologies, that enhance customer value, strengthen platform capabilities, and create scalable business impact.

  • Ensure product experiences are aligned with broader Visa Destinations objectives and customer needs.

Solution Design & Product Development
  • Partner with Technology and Design teams to define scalable platform solutions and integration strategies that support long-term growth, maintainability, and operational excellence.

  • Translate business objectives into clear product requirements, user stories, and delivery plans.

  • Evaluate build, buy, and partner opportunities to accelerate product development and platform evolution.

  • Balance customer experience, business value, operational considerations, and technical feasibility when making product decisions.

  • Provide product leadership throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring solutions meet strategic objectives.

Delivery Excellence & Execution
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation through launch and optimization.

  • Establish and drive operating mechanisms that improve transparency, accountability, and delivery predictability.

  • Own delivery execution across product initiatives, driving accountability for milestones, dependencies, risks, and business commitments.

  • Challenge assumptions, delivery estimates, resourcing plans, and execution approaches to ensure stakeholders and partners remain aligned to commitments, timelines, and launch objectives.

  • Partner closely with Technology teams and external vendors to drive high-quality delivery against roadmap commitments.

  • Proactively identify, escalate, and resolve risks and obstacles impacting scope, quality, timelines, or business outcomes.

Partner & Vendor Management
  • Act as a senior product lead for strategic technology, platform, and service partners.

  • Influence partner roadmaps and priorities to support Visa Destinations objectives.

  • Establish governance mechanisms and operating rhythms to drive execution excellence.

  • Hold partners accountable for delivery commitments, quality standards, service levels, and overall business outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement across partner relationships and delivery processes.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
  • Lead large-scale initiatives spanning Product, Technology, Marketing, Design, Data Science, Legal, Operations, Client Services, and regional teams.

  • Influence decisions and drive alignment without direct authority.

  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap priorities, delivery progress, and business outcomes to senior leadership.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and execution excellence.

  • Represent Visa Destinations initiatives in strategic reviews, governance forums, and leadership discussions.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

  • 10+ years of product management, platform development, digital product leadership, or related experience.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional product initiatives from concept through launch.

  • Experience building and scaling digital platforms, customer experiences, or ecosystem-based solutions.

  • Strong understanding of web platforms, digital experiences, content management systems, marketing technologies, loyalty and benefits ecosystems, marketplace platforms, and partner integrations.

  • Experience managing strategic technology vendors and external partners.

  • Strong product management discipline, including roadmap development, prioritization, business case development, and product lifecycle management.

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, simplify complexity, and drive informed decision-making.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

  • Payments, travel, commerce, loyalty, digital platform, or marketplace experience preferred.

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

U.S. Applicants Only
The estimated salary range for this position is $192,300.00 to $ 307,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
