The Area Director of Sales (ADS) provides sales leadership, coaching, and strategic support to a portfolio of senior living communities. This role partners closely with community leadership teams to drive occupancy growth, revenue performance, and sales excellence. The ADS develops and mentors Directors of Community Relations (DCRs), ensures effective execution of sales and marketing plans, and supports communities through growth, stabilization, and special projects.ย 

This role will support our community locations in New Jersey, Alexandria, VA, and Thornwood, NY; car allowance is provided. Travel to these locations will be required and visiting community locations in a daily basis. Must live in NJ area or be able to relocate.ย 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach sales teams across an assigned group of communities.ย 
  • Drive occupancy, revenue, and sales productivity results.ย 
  • Develop and oversee community sales and marketing plans.ย 
  • Monitor lead generation, conversion performance, and outreach activities.ย 
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities.ย 
  • Ensureย accurateย use of CRM systems, reporting tools, and sales processes.ย 
  • Conduct sales training, onboarding, and ongoing coaching for DCRs.ย 
  • Support communities with tours, closing sales, outreach, and relationship development.ย 
  • Partner with Executive Directors, Regional Directors, and Operations leaders to achieve business goals.ย 
  • Assistย with acquisitions, turnaround communities, new initiatives, and interim sales leadership assignments as needed.ย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • 3โ€“5 years of sales and marketing leadership experience, preferably in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or related industries.ย 
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing sales teams.ย 
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.ย 
  • Experience managing multiple priorities across a portfolio of locations.ย 
  • Proficiencyย with CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.ย 
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.ย
