Job description

Job Title

Job Summary: Create bill of materials for new and old product lines using AAON software. Process and approve customer orders.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Configures bills efficiently for ease of understanding, completeness, and accuracy.
  • Works closely with Design Engineering, Electrical Drafting and Electrical Engineering departments to guarantee a set amount of jobs are processed out of engineering each day.
  • Reads and understands technical manuals, instructions, and criteria.
  • Reads and reviews electrical diagrams.
  • Reviews product design for company standards, engineering principles, and specifications.
  • Confirms customer selections are compatible with manufacture's specifications.
  • Reviews bill of material and product specifications to accurately determine the amount and type of materials and components required.
  • Incorporates Engineering Change Notices into bill of materials.
  • Processes basic customer orders and provides final engineering approval.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of bill of materials experience in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
  • Work requires periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
