Job description

Yearbook Coordinator Needed

Location: Hinesburg Community School

This position will remain open until filled. However, applications received within the first seven days of posting will receive priority consideration. Internal candidates will also be prioritized over external applicants during this initial seven-day window.

Hinesburg Community School (HCS) is seeking a Yearbook Coordinator to lead the creation and publication of our annual school yearbook. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with students, photography, design, storytelling, and bringing a large project from idea to finished product. The Yearbook Coordinator will work with students and staff to create a yearbook that captures the people, experiences, and events that make up the HCS school year and represents the full HCS community.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the overall design, development, and production of the HCS yearbook.
  • Engage and support students in photography, writing, design, and other aspects of yearbook creation.
  • Gather photos and content from classrooms, activities, events, athletics, and throughout the HCS community.
  • Coordinate student and staff portraits and ensure accurate representation throughout the yearbook.
  • Manage the yearbook production timeline and meet publisher deadlines.
  • Serve as the primary contact with the yearbook vendor and coordinate proofing and final publication.
  • Support yearbook sales, ordering, and end-of-year distribution.
  • Work with HCS administration and staff throughout the year to ensure the yearbook is an inclusive and accurate reflection of our school community.

  • Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to engage, support, and collaborate effectively with students and staff.
  • High attention to detail regarding portrait accuracy and project proofing.
