Job description

JOB TITLE: Yearbook Publishing Coordinator
JOB TYPE: Remote, Salaried / Non-Exempt (eligible for OT)
ENTRY RATE: Hourly rate based on $45,000/yr salary
This is an introductory role into the Yearbook Customer Service team. This employee is responsible for ensuring positive customer experiences and creating loyal customers by identifying and meeting their unique needs in a timely and effective manner. Incumbents initiate, monitor and direct all communications between sales reps, customers, and production. Caseloads are comparatively medium to the team as a learning platform, but may contain some complexity (which will be supported by management).
YOU HAVE:
Required:
  • Passion. Demonstrated consistent customer-focused attitude
  • Technical skills. Excellent computer software skills
  • Attention to detail. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently, as well as in a team-based structure
  • Great communication skills. Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal with exceptional presentation skills
  • Experience.1-2 years’ experience in successful customer relations
  • Education. Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
​Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Journalism, Communications, Manufacturing, etc)
  • Prior Yearbook Staff or equivalent experience
  • Reasonable flexibility of schedule
  • Key account management experience
  • InDesign/Photoshop familiarity
YOU WILL:
  • Support. Serve as primary point of contact for Sales Reps, Yearbook customers, staff and advisers, and Production addressing their concerns responding promptly and professionally
  • Update and maintain. Develop solutions with alternatives in situations requiring special consideration, such as deadlines, pricing, special requests
  • Develop. Establish and maintain integrated partnerships with exceptional and effective communication via phone, e-mail, and face-to-face/Teams/Zoom
  • Advise. Coordinate job specs for timely completion, planning for successful delivery with high quality. Monitor jobs through production solving issues as they arise and proactively preventing issues
  • Strengthen. Provide specialized support for unique market segments including at-risk accounts
  • Help. Monitor, document and resolve all quality complaints, and resolve delivery issues using proper channels and procedures
  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 5% (as needed)
