Job description

CCBC Student Ministries Mission:

CCBC Student Ministries exists to help students take the next step in their relationship with Jesus so that they graduate from our ministry and walk with Jesus for a lifetime. 

Christ Chapel’s Mission:

To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully developing follower of Christ (Col 1:28-29).

Role’s Mission:

Because we believe that God’s truth is the only source for life change, we will prioritize the teaching of God’s word in HSM. The HSM Minister will be the TEAM LEAD, PRIMARY COMMUNICATOR, TRAINER of small group leaders, and SHEPHERD of parents. 

  • They will lead the FW HSM by casting the shared HSM vision, setting clear expectations and goals as well as developing staff.
  • They will have a passion to teach high schoolers theological truths, so they own their faith and ensure that all areas of the ministry reinforce a love for God’s word and theological depth. 
  • Because small group leaders matter, the HSM Minister will make sure our leaders are equipped theologically, spiritually, and practically to lead our groups.
  • The HSM Minister will be the primary interface with HSM parents for shepherding and will work to equip them in discipling their children. 

Role’s Other Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Central Student Director on our united teaching strategy.
  • Assist in the planning of Central HSM events.
  • Participate in FW Campus initiatives and events.

Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Fort Worth Campus Minister.  

Role Details: Full-time | Salaried | Exempt

Role’s Requirements:

  • Must be a Christian and a regular attender with Christ Chapel in good standing.
  • Must be living an “above reproach” lifestyle as outlined in the Christ Chapel Employee Handbook.
  • Must be committed to and supportive of the authority of the Elders, the pastoral staff and the philosophy and direction of the church both in public and in private. 
  • Must be available from time-to-time on Friday nights, Saturdays, and Sundays to lead the setup/support/clean-up for student ministry events.
  • Must have a heart for students and those working in Student Ministry.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well in a team environment.

Role’s Preferences:

  • The ideal candidate will have the spiritual gift of teaching and preaching.
  • The ideal candidate will have two to five years’ experience in a ministry setting.
  • The ideal candidate will have bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with added preference of a master’s degree from an accredited seminary.
