The Teaching Post-doc (anatomy) supports the daily operations, instructional activities, and technical infrastructure of the Virtual Anatomy Lab for OMS-I and OMS-II medical students. This role is essential in the integration, maintenance, and operation of holographic and mixed-reality technologies used in anatomy education, including advanced AR/VR systems and 3D anatomical visualization tools. The post-doc assists students and faculty with system use, ensures high-quality simulation performance, and helps advance the school's innovative approach to anatomy education. Limited teaching of anatomy topics in preparation for a faculty-level position will also be expected. This position is designed for early-career individuals interested in medical school teaching.
Education - Education: PhD or ABD in Human Anatomy or a related field. Expertise in one of the following (or related fields) is helpful: Medical Technology, Computer Science or Information Technology, Digital Media/3D Visualization, Biomedical Visualization
Experience: Familiarity with anatomy or medical coursework. Experience with AR/VR technologies, holographic projection technologies such as Microsoft HoloLens, Oculus Quest, HTC Vive or similar platforms is a plus. Experience in Unity, Unreal Engine, or medical visualization software, 3D modeling software, or medical imaging systems is also a plus.
