Job description

We are seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our team as Scare Actors for our immersive and thrilling haunted attraction. As a Scare Actor, you will bring spine-chilling characters to life, creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. If you have a passion for horror, acting, and enjoy making people jump out of their skin, this role is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Character Development: Embrace and embody the persona of the assigned character, bringing authenticity and depth to the role.
  • Scare Techniques: Utilize a variety of scare techniques, such as sudden movements, vocalizations, and hiding in dark corners, to startle and frighten guests.
  • Performance: Deliver consistent and convincing performances throughout the night, maintaining the highest level of scare factor.
  • Safety: Prioritize guest and team safety by following all operational guidelines and protocols.
  • Improvisation: Be prepared to improvise and adapt scare tactics based on guest reactions and feedback.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work collaboratively with other scare actors, event staff, and management to create a cohesive and terrifying experience.

Requirements:

  • Acting Skills: Demonstrated ability to act and portray characters convincingly with a range of emotions and expressions.
  • Ability to follow a script: Characters are already made, with set lines, makeup, and description.
  • Fearlessness: Comfortable working in dark and intense environments, and unafraid to engage with a diverse range of guests.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, crouching, and moderate running during extended hours.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the haunted house operates during these peak times.**

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Scare Actor Experience: Experience in a haunted attraction or similar scare-based role is a plus.
