Universal Horror Unleashed is a terrifyingly unique experience that will bring haunts to Las Vegas year-round. Located at Area 15 is the heart of horror - we would love to have you haunting alongside us! With the nature of this experience comes a unique working environment. You will find yourself working in dark environments around special effects including strobe lights, fog, artificial smells, and more. The working hours will be unique, typically spanning over late evenings/nights and weekends (holidays included). This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks.  

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivering best in class guest experience by providing prompt, friendly, and courteous assistances to guests, answering questions and directing them within the Universal Horror Unleashed restaurant. Must be familiar with various restaurant cuisines, basic menu offerings, dietary restrictions, and allergies. Maintains knowledgeable of the seating chart and manages the waiting list.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcomes and greets guests, accommodates guests with special needs, quotes wait times, maintains an efficient wait list, directs guests to appropriate waiting areas and takes reservations.  Escorts guests to table, reviews menu specials and provide guests with menus.
  • Answers questions about the specific food operation and possesses full knowledge of food and beverage products served.     
  • Coordinates the orderly movement of people by monitoring table turns, walking the dining room, managing seating plans and understanding service capacities.    
  • Assists Server Assistants in cleaning and resetting tables. Keeps restaurant/area clean and free of litter at all times.   
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Any local or state required certifications or licenses.
  • Must be able to obtain LVMPD Non-gaming Work Card upon hire.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of food and beverage industry experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
