ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a Director of Marketing to own UGP's marketing function end to end. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and analytics; spanning customer lifecycle marketing (CLM), campaign management, creator and athlete partnerships, funnel performance, branding, and the UGP website. You will also oversee the marketing team, setting direction and building the team's capabilities to execute against these priorities. You'll work closely with the leadership team to build a marketing engine that drives growth across every stage of the client journey.

  • Oversee customer lifecycle marketing (CLM), including email, SMS, and retention campaigns that engage clients throughout their journey with UGP
  • Plan, execute, and manage integrated marketing campaigns (paid and organic) from concept through performance measurement
  • Build, manage, and grow UGP's creator and athlete partnership program, including sourcing, negotiating, and activating relationships with golf influencers, creators, and athletes
  • Own UGP's brand identity and voice, ensuring consistency across all channels, partnerships, and locations
  • Oversee the UGP website, including content, user experience, and ongoing optimization, partnering with developers or agencies as needed
  • Own the marketing budget and allocate spend across channels, campaigns, and partnerships to maximize return on investment
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing KPIs (funnel metrics, campaign performance, CAC/LTV, etc.) to inform strategy and demonstrate impact
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors (creative, paid media, PR, etc.) as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Golf industry knowledge or enthusiasm is a must!
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus
  • 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, including experience owning a marketing function or leading a team, ideally in sports, fitness, wellness, or lifestyle brands
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing or mentoring a team
  • Proven experience with customer lifecycle marketing (CLM), including email, SMS, and CRM driven retention campaigns
  • Track record of planning and executing multichannel marketing campaigns that drive measurable funnel and revenue results
  • Experience building and managing creator, influencer, or athlete partnership programs
  • Strong grasp of digital funnel performance and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM/marketing automation platforms), with the ability to translate data into strategy
  • Experience owning brand strategy and identity across channels and touchpoints
  • Budget management experience, with the ability to allocate spend across channels for maximum ROI
  • Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills, comfortable partnering with executive leadership
  • Highly organized and strategic, yet hands on and comfortable operating in a fast paced, multilocation environment

WHY UGP
