Position Summary

The Fall Sales & Marketing Intern supports the Sales, Catering, and Marketing team within Harwood Hospitality. This internship provides hands-on experience in hospitality sales operations, marketing campaigns, event planning, and administrative coordination.

The intern will assist with marketing initiatives, sales support, reporting, and special projects while gaining exposure to luxury hospitality operations, client relations, and brand marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

Marketing & Campaign Support

  • Assist with planning and executing marketing and PR campaigns
  • Support social media content planning and monthly marketing calendars
  • Help coordinate photography, videography, and creative assets
  • Assist with email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials
  • Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions and creative planning
  • Help maintain websites and update brand information across platforms
  • Support creation of marketing reports and performance tracking
  • Ensure brand standards and messaging remain consistent across all channels

Events & Creative Support

  • Assist with event planning and on-site coordination
  • Help create promotional materials and e-creatives for special events
  • Support print collateral and marketing asset management
  • Maintain image libraries and project progress boards
  • Assist with monthly marketing recaps and presentations

Sales & Administrative Support

  • Assist with general sales office operations and administrative tasks
  • Enter and track sales leads in CRM and sales systems
  • Help run weekly and monthly sales and marketing reports
  • Support site inspections and VIP visits, including preparation and coordination
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and recording meeting minutes
  • Help manage sales databases and maintain accurate records
  • Support travel arrangements, shipments, and client communications as needed
  • Assist with small meeting bookings and event coordination when required

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Business, Communications, or related field
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred

  • Interest in luxury hospitality, food & beverage, or events
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and marketing tools
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CRM systems, Squarespace, or email marketing platforms
  • Previous internship or work experience in hospitality, marketing, or sales
  • Duration: Summer Internship (May–August, flexible)
  • Schedule: Full-time or part-time based on availability
  • Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for events
