Job description

About Us
At Lodestar Manufacturing, we believe that people come first, we stay curious, and we always finish the job. We are an innovative startup revolutionizing the firearms industry by producing personally authenticated firearms. Our mission is to combine cutting-edge technology with top-tier craftsmanship to create secure, personalized solutions for firearm owners. We are a fast-growing startup launching a new production facility. As we build our team, we’re looking for adaptable and motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to our success.
Position Overview
The Firearms Assembly Technician will be an essential part of our production startup. In this role, you’ll begin by learning and performing assembly processes while assisting with a wide variety of operational tasks — from setting up tables and organizing materials to ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and well-stocked. As the operation scales, you’ll support the onboarding of new team members, offer feedback on training materials, with the potential to grow with the company.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys tackling challenges and proactively finding solutions. Whether it’s figuring out how to streamline an assembly step or ensuring the breakroom has enough coffee and the bathrooms are stocked, your impact will be felt across the entire facility.
 Key Responsibilities
·       Always work safely, following specific safety processes and procedures
·       Learn and execute assembly processes efficiently and accurately
·       Assist with production setup, including assembling workstations, organizing tools, and maintaining a clean and functional environment
·       Support material management and ensure inventory is properly stored and accessible
·       Proactively solve day-to-day operational challenges to keep the facility running smoothly
·       Ensure basic facility needs are met (e.g., restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness)
·       Provide hands-on guidance to new team members and share practical knowledge
·       Suggest improvements to training materials and operational processes
·       Prepare for a transition to a leadership role, taking on greater responsibilities as the team grows
·       Perform additional duties as requested
Qualifications & Requirements
·       Prior assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment
·       Strong problem-solving skills with a “get-it-done” mindset
·       Comfortable with hands-on work, including basic setup and maintenance tasks
·       Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs and pass a dexterity test
·       Must be able to work full-time, on-site
·       Must pass a background check (no felony convictions) and a drug screen.
·       Prior assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment
·       Safety minded with knowledge of OSHA requirements
·       Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
·       Proficient in Microsoft office and comfortable learning new systems
·       Previous experience in a leadership role preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
·       Competitive pay based on experience
·       401(k) with company match
·       Health, dental and vision insurance coverage
·       Paid vacation and paid holidays
If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow with a dynamic startup and take on increasing responsibility, we’d love to hear from you!
