Description:

Business Development Professionals at Larkin Express Logistics love the challenge of initiating new relationships, listening to customer requirements, and designing solutions with the assistance of our operations and account management teams. This role focuses on winning new business as well as growing existing customer relationships. 

The primary focus of the role will be sales and account growth. However, there will be the need to support trucking operations, carrier selection, and coordination. 


Requirements:

· Developing and implementing sales strategies 

· Cold calling, prospecting leads, and building new accounts from the ground up

· Providing day-to-day Customer Account Management

· Building rapport and relationships with Customers and team members

· Coordinating internal resources to meet Customer Needs

· Evaluating Customer Needs and promoting complimentary transportation services

· Providing Service and Price negotiations 

· Utilizing McLeod software for CRM, account management, and forecasting revenue

· Using agreed upon KPIs to measure and build upon successes

· Schedule and manage pickup and deliveries of shipments. 

· Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process 

· Schedule pickup and delivery and dispatch drivers in accordance with established procedures 

· Maintain and update accurate information in company’s operating systems, tracking shipments to completion 

· Coordinating daily carrier activities with customers and operations team 

Qualifications:

· Strong communication and organizational skills.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills.

· Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Preferred knowledge of Trucking and 3PL Brokerage Operations but not required. 

· Ability to travel as required.
