Job description

About Mannix Marketing
Mannix Marketing is a digital marketing agency with 30 years of experience (yes, we're older than Google!) in helping businesses thrive online. We provide comprehensive digital marketing solutions, including website design, SEO, social media marketing, content creation, and paid advertising strategies. Headquartered in Upstate New York and operating as a fully remote team, we pride ourselves on our consultative approach.
About the Role
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist to primarily execute organic search strategy(SEO) across a portfolio of client accounts. You will handle technical and content execution, drive measurable improvements in search visibility, and manage day-to-day client relationships on your accounts. Experience in PPC, CRO, or social media is a plus, but SEO is the core focus of this position.
You will work across industries including senior living, tourism, manufacturing, boat dealers, and nonprofits, primarily with small to mid-sized businesses. As you grow within our Matrix framework, you will take on more complex accounts and continue building advanced skills.
What You'll Do
  • Execute technical and on-page SEO audits, identify issues, and coordinate implementation with internal teams.
  • Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to inform and refine organic search strategies.
  • Support content strategy development aligned with search intent and client business goals.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools, translating findings into clear recommendations.
  • Manage client communication and performance updates for your accounts, with support from account managers and senior team members as needed.
  • Support PPC, CRO, or social media efforts where applicable, collaborating with account managers and specialists on integrated campaigns.
What We're Looking For
Required:
  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with demonstrated results in organic search performance.
  • Working proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, or comparable platforms.
  • Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals: site structure, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and indexing.
  • Familiarity with AI tools as part of a day-to-day workflow and an understanding of how AI is reshaping organic search and content strategy.
  • Experience supporting or executing content strategies grounded in keyword and search intent research.
  • Comfortable managing client-facing communication, including delivering performance updates and explaining strategy to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while staying aligned with team direction.
  • Must be located within the continental United States.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred:
  • Exposure to PPC campaign management (Google Ads, Meta Ads, or similar).
  • Familiarity with CRO principles and testing methodologies.
  • Experience contributing to social media strategy.
  • Background in local SEO or multi-location SEO campaigns.
What We Offer
We want this to be a place where you can do your best work and feel good about where you work. Here's what comes with the role:
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Simple IRA with a 3% dollar-for-dollar company match
  • Paid time off starting at 12 days per year and increasing with tenure, up to 30 days for long-term team members
  • Flex time available for life appointments and personal needs
  • 9 paid holidays, with the option to swap for a cultural or religious holiday that matters to you
  • Fully remote, work from wherever you do your best thinking
  • HeyTaco peer recognition program is a small but genuine way teammates appreciate each other
