Job description

Full-time Director of Youth Confirmation, Teens & Young Adults for the St Frances Cabrini and St John Bosco Campus of the Lakewood Catholic Parish Family.
The vocation of every member of Christ's Faithful is first and foremost to know Jesus, to love Jesus, and to serve Jesus. The Director of Youth Confirmation Teens & Young Adults for the St Frances Cabrini and St John Bosco Campus support the pastor in preparing youth for the Sacrament of Confirmation and assisting the teens, youth, and young adults of our parish family to deepen their friendship with Jesus Christ after they have received their Sacraments.
  • Creates and runs events and programs that focus primarily on deepening youth and young adults' knowledge of, and friendship with, Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church.
  • Organizes, accompanies, and leads youth on summer programs initiatives.
  • Assures the development of programs and activities for junior and senior high youth that foster spiritual formation, development and implementation of faith formation programs for youth and programs and activities for young adults.
  • Recruits, enables, directs, trains, and supervises catechists and other personnel for faith formation programs for junior and senior high youth including Confirmation.
  • Develops and administers the youth program budget and serves as staff to any Parish Youth Commission/Committee.
  • Coordinates with the Director of Communication to interface social media presence where teens and young adults are online.
  • Assists in major parish events.

A successful candidate needs to believe everything contained in the word of God, whether written or handed down in Tradition, which the Church, either by a solemn judgement or by the ordinary and universal Magisterium, sets forth to be believed as divinely revealed. They must also, firmly accept and hold all that the Church definitively proposes regarding teaching on faith and morals.
  • Desires to grow in an authentic life of prayer and unity with Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish is preferred.

Preferred attributes are not required but could be beneficial for the job position.
  • Degree in Theology or advanced education in teaching the Catholic Faith.
  • Experience in the field of study.
  • Other experience in leadership and organization

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
