Job description

Worship is an integral part of how God shapes us, helping us see and know Him for who He truly is and respond with reverence and obedience. The Young Adults Ministry Worship Leader creates environments for authentic worship, while also developing and equipping a new generation of worship musicians to honor Jesus with all He has entrusted to them, including their gifts, circumstances, trials, and joys. As a part of the Young Adults ministry team, this position plays a significant role in strategizing, assessing, and evaluating Young Adults Ministry initiatives.

Reports to: Young Adults & Intern Development Pastor

Works with: Young Adults team, worship musicians, and volunteers

Works: Part-time, approximately 10 hours per week, exempt

LEADING YOUNG ADULTS SERVICES - 60%
  • Lead worship and conduct rehearsals at least three times per month in Young Adults Thursday Night services.
  • Schedule worship leaders, musicians, and audio techs for weekly Young Adults services.
  • Set up and operate audio/visual equipment as needed.
DEVELOPING YOUNG ADULTS WORSHIP & TECH TEAMS - 20%
  • Mentor and develop young musicians, singers, and worship leaders, both musically and spiritually.
  • Recruit and train tech volunteers in Young Adults Ministry.
MINISTRY LEADERSHIP - 10%
  • Serve as part of the Young Adults Ministry leadership team to help craft vision and execute ministry vision.
  • Lead and disciple young adults, particularly those serving in the worship ministry.
OTHER ministry- 10%
  • Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
  • Attend church all-staff meetings, devotions, and trainings.
