DUTIES/RESULTS
• Properly operate both common and specialized test equipment in the performance of assigned tasks.
• Properly operate ¾ of a million-dollar test equipment for QA approved Calibration certificates which are NIST
traceable
These certificates are then maintained by Corporate Document Control for reference by customers, EPA and
other government agencies
• Maintains Repair Center facilities, documentation and equipment.
• Performs component level repairs and calibration on field instruments, analytical instruments, Digital Acquisition Systems,
TMI and Meter products per YCA standards.
• Accurate and timely completion of all documentation associated with assigned tasks. Including entry of quality data on
work completed for certifying equality to factory specifications
• Receives training and works toward mastering repair of multiple product families and specialize in industrial
instrumentation and process control devices, test equipment or Test measurement equipment.
• Always prepared to train other Technicians on their specialty product families Operates, diagnoses, troubleshoots,
repairs, adjusts, and calibrates products in assigned product group. Has sufficient knowledge of assigned products to
provide technical assistance in the operation and diagnostics of problems encountered by Sales, Marketing, Sales Reps
and Customers. Must be self-motivated and thorough. Strong communications skills are required.
• Technicians in overcoming technical and procedural problems in their jobs.
• Log all incoming units into calibration log and forward paperwork for processing.
• Properly operates common and specialized test equipment in the performance of assigned tasks.
• Supports the objective of "Total Customer Satisfaction" and functions as a team member in support/assistance of meeting
goals of the T&M and Service Division.
• Responsible for providing uncompromising quality to all work processes in designated area of responsibility. Having the
authority to stop those processes at any time it is believed quality is being compromised.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision and manage their time for the best productivity.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
SPECIFICATIONS
Education: Two (2) year degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent, including military.
Prior Experience: Five (5) years experience in meteorology, service and /or repair environment.
Specific Skills: Provide technical training to other service technicians through hands-on training. Participate in
individual and team problem solving missions and provide management with solutions. Good work ethic skills like
tidiness. Experience with Microsoft products, adaptability. Beneficial additional skills, SAP, CRM, and Industrial
communication protocols. An understanding of ISO 9000 and ISO 17025 procedures.
