About the Job
The Membership Service Representative (MSR) position reports to the Membership Director. The MSR plays a key role in support of the YMCA mission by ensuring the reliable and consistent delivery of outstanding customer service to members and guests at the front desk of their YMCA branch.ย 

Some of the exciting tasks you will do as an MSR include but are not limited to:

  • The Member Services Representative handles a variety of responsibilities for members and prospective members including membership sales, tours, membership renewals, and data entry.
  • Serving as the key resource point for information regarding branch programs, activities, merchandise, and other general communication needs in providing information by phone or in person.
  • Responsible for all financial transactions at the registration desk, which may include program registration, authorized disbursements, and merchandise sales.
  • Providing outstanding customer service to all members, guests, staff and the community at-large.

Current Shifts Available

  • Friday 5am - 10am, Saturday & Sunday 12-6pm, and Monday 12-6pm

Education, Certification, Skills, and Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma
  • Clear the local jurisdiction requirements for criminal background check
  • Customer service experience

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work weekends and evenings for branch and corporate functions
  • Ability to sit, stand or move for extended periods of time
  • Able to bend for purposes such as filing, inventory counts, etc.
  • Able to walk up and down stairs, as needed, when giving tours
