Job description

Description:

 This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Assists in all aspects of membership for the branch including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and scheduling of staff. Develops, plans and implements new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals. 

Requirements:


· Assists in creating a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills in all interactions. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.

· Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, developing, scheduling, payroll and directing personnel. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals for the YMCA.

· Assitst with monitoring staff training compliance by tracking required trainings, certifications, and eligibility requirements to ensure all employees remain current and in good standing.

· Promotes program and membership enrollment in interactions with existing and potential members. Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and web registration.

· Ensures proper implementation of Welcome Desk procedures. Reviews and updates desk procedures and communicates changes to staff. Coordinates with Leadership Staff as necessary on financial transactions.

· Audits membership files for accuracy.

· Works designated amount of hours at the Welcome Desk, with remaining hours in an administrative role.

· Assist leadership with rentals and contracts for the YMCA.

· Handles billing/invoicing and leads efforts as a Corporate Liaison of Corporate memberships for the Association.

· Participates and helps facilitate staff meetings and/or related YMCA meetings/events.

· Actively planning and facilitating quarterly membership staff trainings/meetings.

· Assists staff in meeting and exceeding branch goals.

· Assist in collecting and processing financial assistance applications.

· Assist in planning, attending and facilitating community events inside and outside of the branch.

· Maintain the company swag shop and concessions inventory, ensuring products are organized, stocked, and available while coordinating replenishment and new merchandise.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 21 years of age or older

· Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Previous experience in member service.

· YMCA or other non-profit experience preferred.

· Excellent administrative and computer skills.

· Experience with membership software Daxko Operations preferred.

· Highly attentive to detail.

· Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
