The Yield Management (YM) team supports Product lines for Ford Blue, Ford Pro and Model e and tackles the ~5 highest priority strategic and profit projects each quarter. The team works in "Value Sprints" with a dedicated team focused against a specific mandate for a dedicated period of time. The team applies a data-driven approach and leverages advanced analytics to derive insights and deliver tangible recommendations to create value for Ford. Yield Management's project portfolio aims to deliver a balance of:
  • Near term vehicle line specific profit improvement or risk mitigation actions
  • New or expanded enterprise capabilities
  • Long term portfolio optimizations

This Yield Management position operates cross-functionally across Marketing & Sales, Brand, Product Marketing, General Management, GDI&A, Finance, & Ford Credit. Senior Managers come from a range of different backgrounds and lead "sprints" typically for 6-8 weeks.

Responsibilities
This role is at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics and is tasked with creating change and maximizing profits in the Ford+ plan. The immediate working team is highly collaborative and fast-paced. This is a high-exposure role with ongoing interaction with leadership across Ford Blue, Model e, and Ford Pro.
The Yield Management group includes several sprint leaders and team members who are deployed to work on specific problems, typically for 4-8 weeks. When leading a sprint, the Sprint Lead (Sr. Manager) is supported by 2-3 analysts and/or supervisors and responsible for:
  • Establishing the sprint mandate and problem statement with key stakeholders
  • Structuring sprint workstreams for all team members, including leading analysis and development of insights and implications of decisions
  • Managing the project infrastructure (project plans, team engagement model, delivery of project against timeline)
  • Managing sprint team delivery of the recommendation, coaching, and providing feedback to support continued development
  • Owning the overall recommendation to the GM teams, being the key expert across the different components of the analysis

In addition, sprint leaders are responsible for contributing to ongoing Yield Management objectives:
  • Engaging with key business leaders and business functions to identify high priority sprint topics
  • Managing and prioritizing the sprint portfolio and backlog
  • Tracking impact of sprints vs. overall objective
  • Supporting development of advanced analytics tools and providing specific use cases
  • Implementing Yield Management best practices and tools into the core operations of the business
  • Developing technical and leadership skills of team members

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, strategy, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in project management, including client-interfacing
  • 2+ years' experience managing people & teams
  • Highly capable working in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Executive communication experience (verbal & written)

  • MBA or MS degree in an appropriate field of study
  • Experience with Alteryx, SQL, Qlik, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Comfort with ambiguity - demonstrated ability to structure an approach to complex problems and drive clarity on solutions

This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700-$268,300.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
