Job description

CLAW Logistics is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to act as the vital link between suppliers, transportation carriers, and customers to ensure on-time delivery and optimal supply chain efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily logistics activities including load entry, scheduling, tracking and handling requests from customers/carriers
• Search load boards for available shipments for Claw Asset drivers when available to support with front haul/back haul scheduling
• Understand rates/values and quote on the spot/ or projects using the tools & resources provided
• Search for carrier capacity for open/available loads
• Understand customer requirements and present options when needed to support current schedules
• Negotiate competitive and profitable rates for carriers/customers/our own fleet of drivers & owner operators
• Identify, reaction to and effectively communicate issues with customers and carriers
• Follow through on each load from beginning to end
• Collaborate with the other logistics coordinators & manager to solve problems & tackle daily workload
Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of transportation terms and industry rates
  • Ability to navigate load boards

Skills
  • Substantial amount of tact, negotiation, independence, aggressiveness, problem-solving and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
