Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Bartenders at the Southern Yacht Club are tasked with ensuring that all members have an exciting and inviting experience in our private bar. We are looking for professional and enthusiastic individuals.

Specifics about the position:

  • Be prepared to craft delicious cocktails for our members.
  • Be prepared to wait on tables inside the private bar and balcony.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the private bar, balcony, and storage.
  • Anything that is asked of the bartender by the management team.

Bartenders at Southern Yacht Club need to be physically prepared to lift to 50lbs during their shift multiple times. Reach, bend, stoop, and wipe frequently. Be able to stay on their feet for multiple hours in the day.

Experience in bartending is preferred. Southern Yacht Club will take the time to get you accustomed to our way of running a restaurant.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The Southern Yacht Club is the second oldest yacht club in the U.S. (1849). With over 1600 members, SYC serves members in the 1849 Bar Tuesday - Sunday, a la carte lunch & dinner in main dining Wednesday - Saturday, and a brunch on Sunday. During the summer months a Tiki Bar & Grill serve members at the pool Tuesday - Sunday. SYC also hosts member holiday functions and banquets of various types & sizes from small dinners and parties to wedding receptions for 500.
