WVUHS Medical Group seeks a Palliative Care/Critical Care Physician. The successful candidate will practice in Wheeling, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the area of Palliative Care.
WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital offers an exceptional opportunity for a Palliative Care Physician to develop and lead a Palliative and Hospice Utilization Program from the ground up. Wheeling's Continuous Care Center is a modern 200-bed long-term and skilled nursing facility, providing a strong foundation for program growth. This role offers significant potential to build a robust, sustainable, and respected program, with opportunities for outpatient expansion. We are seeking a physician with the vision, passion, and drive to shape and grow this service.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program, as well as a fellowship in Critical Care or Palliative Care. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Critical Care or Palliative Medicine. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
*Geriatrics-trained physician is a plus!*
