Physician- Developmental Pediatrician
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seeks a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University Medical Corporation doing business as "University Health Associates," [etc.] located in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania and, as such, travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other worksites
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of developmental-behavioral pediatrics. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a pediatrics residency program, as well as developmental-behavioral fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in developmental-behavioral pediatrics. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Opportunities exist to develop new research initiatives or collaborate with existing programs that cross a broad spectrum of DBP areas and clinical and translational research. The successful candidate will also join a dedicated interdisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, psychologists, neuropsychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and BCBAs who provide direct clinical services, training, and research through the Department of Pediatrics and the Neurodevelopmental Center.
