What we do: 

The Senior Manager, Workplace Services is responsible for leading and integrating Workplace Operations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Real Estate Strategy across all Supernal facilities. This role ensures the delivery of safe, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective workplace environments while driving strategic planning, operational excellence, and governance.

This position serves as the single threaded leader for Workplace Services, responsible for ensuring workplace safety, optimizing real estate investments, and enabling operational continuity across offices, labs, and test environments.

What you can do:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and oversee all Workplace Services functions, including EHS, workplace operations, and real estate strategy
  • Lead and manage a small team of workplace services professionals, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture while providing ongoing coaching, development, and performance management to support individual growth and overall team effectiveness
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive workplace services strategy aligned with company growth, operational needs, and financial goals
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on workplace safety, real estate decisions, and operational risk
  • Drive integration of workplace services across multiple sites and evolving organizational structures

Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide EHS programs in compliance with OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA, and applicable regulations
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement mitigation strategies across facilities, labs, and test environments
  • Lead incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action plans, including workers compensation
  • Ensure safe handling and management of hazardous materials and waste
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and manage audits, inspections, and compliance reporting
  • Promote a strong safety culture through training, communication, and continuous improvement initiatives

Workplace Operations & Facilities Management

  • Lead day-to-day workplace operations across all facilities, ensuring consistent delivery of services
  • Oversee physical security programs, including management of security guard contractors, access control systems, surveillance cameras (CCTV), and incident response protocols to ensure the safety and protection of employees, assets, and facilities
  • Manage vendor relationships (janitorial, maintenance, security, workplace services) and oversee vendor performance, service delivery, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate workplace modifications, relocations, and operational readiness across active and inactive facilities
  • Ensure workplace environments support productivity, safety, and employee experience
  • Maintain operational governance frameworks and documentation

Real Estate Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Lead strategic planning and oversight of Supernal's corporate real estate portfolio
  • Own lease lifecycle management including negotiations, renewals, amendments, and subleasing opportunities
  • Drive workplace planning and space utilization strategies aligned with organizational needs and restructuring
  • Conduct financial and operational analysis to optimize occupancy costs and portfolio efficiency
  • Develop reporting, metrics, and executive-level insights to support real estate decision-making
  • Manage relationships with brokers, landlords, and real estate service providers
  • Lead office consolidations, expansions, and footprint optimization strategies

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage workplace services budgets, vendor spend, and cost optimization initiatives
  • Oversee and assist with procurement processes including purchase requisitions, contracts, and invoicing
  • Ensure financial discipline across workplace operations and real estate investments

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks for workplace services and real estate operations
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits, reporting, and operational continuity

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Security, Engineering, and Test teams to support workplace needs
  • Align workplace services with business priorities and organizational strategy
  • Support business continuity planning and operational resilience
What you can contribute:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Real Estate, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • 10-15+ years of combined experience in EHS, workplace operations, and/or corporate real estate
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA) and safety management systems (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 preferred)
  • Experience managing corporate real estate portfolios and lease agreements
  • Proven track record managing vendors, facilities operations, and workplace services
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost analysis, and procurement processes
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills including Excel, PowerPoint. Outlook and Word
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
