The Operations Manager is responsible for supervising all phases of the window manufacturing process, working directly with Production Manager, Area Coordinators, Team Leaders, EHS Manager, Materials Manager, Maintenance and TMX Manager.


Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel development and employee engagement
Reviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessary
Be safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st - Ensure compliance with company & occupational health & safety regulations
Lead by example, setting a positive tone for the organization, creating a motivating work environment and elevating the overall team member experience across functions
Develop and approve the business' budget and operational objectives, and monitor performance against same
Improve production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessary
Establish production objectives & monitor Plant performance to established objectives
Coordination of the utilization of plant facilities, equipment, materials and production manpower
Determine the success of the business through leadership, development, and coordination of efforts by the management group - Production, Materials, Sales, HR & Engineering
Ensure high standards of quality & customer satisfaction
Establish and monitor overall performance for production and quality standards
Develop and implement short- and long-range strategies and objectives
Promoting positive corporate relations with customers
Identify new materials, processes & technologies which if applied to our business could have a positive impact on our profitability
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Management, or related field required.
Minimum 5-7 years' experience in Production Management, Operations Management in manufacturing environment required.
Prior experience in Production / Operations for manufactured windows, supply / distribution preferred.
Prior P & L and commercial responsibility is required.


Qualifications:

Excellent planning and organizational skills
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Microsoft Word, Excel, as well as strong math skills
Must be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively
Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols
Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environment
Pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical
