Job description

Job Title: Workplace Experience Ambassador

Reports To: Workplace Experience Ambassadorย will report to the Workplace Experience Manager or equivalent leadership.

Job Overview:

Theย Workplace Experience Ambassador at SPS Global specializes in enhancing the event experience for clients and visitors by providing dedicated support during onsite events. This role is crucial in event support with setups, coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth execution, and maintaining high standards of hospitality to create memorable experiences.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Coordinate with Facilities Management and other relevant teams to ensure all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly.
  • Support with equipment and furniture arrangements according to event specifications.
  • Risk Management and Security Oversight:
  • Identify and escalate potential security risks or privacy concerns.
  • Participate in the company's Crisis Response Team, ready to guide clients and guests in emergencies

Client Engagement and Hospitality Management:

  • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all event attendees, setting a positive tone for the event.
  • Offer personalized services during events, such as catering to specific guest needs and managing special requests.
  • Engage proactively with attendees, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the event.

Onsite Support and Logistics Management:

  • Monitor event proceedings to address and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure all event-related setups are completed on time and meet client expectations.
  • Handle any last-minute adjustments to event plans, including changes in layout, timing, or services.ย 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of prior experience in event support, hospitality, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Strong ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Technical/computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, digital ticketing, conference room scheduling programs, etc.

Competencies:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of customer service and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift or move heavy items up to 40 lbs. as needed for event setups.
  • Active role requiring significant standing, walking, and moving around during events.

Work Schedule:

  • Hours vary dependent on events schedule.
  • The Overtime rate will be paid according to California state law.
  • Travel: None or negligible.

Other Duties:

  • This job description may be modified to include additional responsibilities and duties as needed to support changing business requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Approximately 50% of the time this position requires the below physical demands.
    • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
    • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
    • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
    • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
