The Skilled Maintenance Worker is responsible for providing specific routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of community grounds and property to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors while providing cost effective maintenance programs.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of related experience preferred
  • Formal or on-the-job training in plumbing, electrical, painting, maintenance, carpentry and general repair preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  • Repairs and maintains physical structure and systems of community.
  • Maintains community grounds; may include lawn mowing, trimming, snow removal.
  • Completes all assigned maintenance work orders.
  • Repairs and maintains electrical and utility systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains safety systems, such as: fire alarms, nurse call systems, security).
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effectively read and interpret documents and instructions.
  • Capacity to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve.
