Job description

Make a real impact each day supporting students across elementary and middle school populations in a bustling educational environment near West Chester, PA. This full-time contract role calls for experienced School Social Workers ready to make a difference in vibrant urban school settings for the 2026-2027 academic year. Opportunities are available at both a middle and elementary school campus, offering a chance to serve diverse student needs.

Key qualifications:

  • Active MSW license in Pennsylvania
  • School-based experience required
  • Must either hold a valid PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate, or have an emergency permit, be an LSW or LCSW, and be enrolled in a PDE-approved social worker program
  • Ability to complete/obtain current PA state clearances
  • Comfortable working onsite in urban school districts
  • Willingness to participate in Zoom interviews
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Role responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social-emotional and behavioral support services to students individually or in groups
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to create intervention plans
  • Assess and address barriers to academic success, provide crisis intervention, and connect families with community resources
  • Maintain documentation, progress notes, and adhere to compliance standards
  • Facilitate workshops or information sessions for students and staff as needed
  • Advocate for students, ensuring their voices and needs are at the forefront of school initiatives
