Job description

Our warehouse location in Robbinsville, NJ has an immediate opening for a Working Supervisor. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bilingual skills are a plus. Pay is $21.00 an hour. Experience working in a warehouse environment is necessary.

The Working Supervisor assists in overall supervision of assigned department or team including successful implementation of department/team goals and projects. Assist in directing and managing assigned personnel including hiring, terminations, performance reviews, salary reviews and corrective actions. Assist in achieving and maintaining profitability, productivity, and quality standards for department. Cover responsibilities of department manager as appropriate. Perform daily department operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in coordinating and overseeing daily activities and staff of department.

• Perform daily department operations including setup, operation and maintenance of department equipment, data entry into computer system, quality checking, stock materials, etc.

• Assist in hiring and controlling staffing including team building and employee coaching.

• Assist in establishing work standards, assigning schedules, reviewing staff work, directing training and interpreting policies, procedures, and goals to subordinates.

• Assist in evaluating, cross-training, and developing staff.

• Assist in recommending and developing new operational and strategic ideas for the department.

• Assist in monitoring and directing setup, design, and development of programs, systems, and client applications as applicable.

• Study workflow to assure greatest efficiency and high level of quality and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.

• Assist in overseeing implementation of new programs and processes in department.

• Assist in training staff on department and client programs and new and existing technologies.

• Assist in preparing and presenting client, department, and productivity reports as appropriate.

• Provide account activity status to multiple levels within and outside the company.

• Assist in resolving employee relations issues or submitting unresolved issues to Human Resources.

• Assist in development and completion of department goals.

• Ensure preparation and implementation of individual client programs and takes appropriate action for client satisfaction.

• Provide solutions to client issues through communications with internal and external clients.

• Attend meetings as required.

• Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001 related standards.

• Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.

SKILLS:

• Three years related departmental and industry experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma/ GED required.

Moderate to heavy lifting of 25 to 60 lbs.

EXPERIENCE:

Three years supervisory experience.
