Job Title: Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Manager
Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer
Position Overview:
Under the Direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Manager leads full-cycle recruitment while advancing a comprehensive workforce development strategy that supports Boston MedFlightโs mission, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. This role partners closely with leadership to attract, develop, engage, and retain a high-performing workforce across clinical, aviation, and non-clinical teams. The position blends strategic recruitment expertise with workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, engagement, and retention initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
A. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
โขLead full-cycle recruitment for clinical, aviation, and non-clinical roles across the organization.
โขPartner with department leaders to understand hiring needs, role requirements, operational demands, and workforce plans.
โขDevelop and maintain pipelines of active and passive candidates using applicant tracking systems (ADP), job boards, social media, referrals, and professional networks.
โขDraft, update, and publish job descriptions and postings that reflect organizational needs, regulatory requirements, and union agreements where applicable.
โขConduct candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and coordination of selection processes.
โขTrack recruitment metrics, analyze trends, and prepare reports for leadership to support decision-making.
โขConduct salary market analyses and provide recommendations to the CHRO to support compensation planning.
โขCreate and maintain recruitment marketing materials and employment branding initiatives.
โขRepresent Boston MedFlight at job fairs, conferences, and industry networking events as needed.
B. Workforce Planning & Development
โขPartner with the CHRO and leadership to align hiring strategies with long-term workforce planning and organizational goals.
โขSupport workforce development initiatives that build internal talent pipelines and leadership capability.
โขAnalyze workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities related to staffing, retention, and development.
โขCollaborate with leaders to support succession planning and career pathway development.
C. Onboarding & Integration
โขOversee onboarding programs to ensure new hires experience a smooth transition into the organization.
โขEnsure onboarding reinforces Boston MedFlightโs mission, values, culture, compliance, and safety requirements.
โขPartner with managers to support effective integration of new employees into operational teams.
D. Performance Management
โขManage performance evaluation process with support from HR Associate.
โขIn coordination with CHRO, develop electronic performance evaluation platform and train managers in utilization to replace current system.
โขManage ongoing performance review cycles, goal-setting processes, and related timelines.
โขTrain and support managers to deliver fair, consistent, and compliant performance evaluations.
โขCollaborate with HR leadership on performance improvement strategies and talent development planning.
โขCoordinate leadership trainings and mandatory (non-clinical) trainings for staff for professional development.
E. Engagement & Retention
โขSupport employee engagement initiatives aimed at improving retention, morale, and organizational effectiveness.
โขAnalyze engagement and retention data to recommend and implement improvement strategies.
โขSupport initiatives that strengthen leadership effectiveness, employee connection to mission, and workplace culture.
F. Supervisory oversight
โขShared Supervision of the HR Associate with the HR Operations Manager to facilitate the
onboarding and performance evaluation process.
Qualifications:
โขBachelorโs Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or a related field.
โขMinimum of 3+ years of experience in recruitment; broader HR or workforce development experience strongly preferred.
โขDemonstrated expertise in sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, interviewing, and recruitment technology.
โขExperience with applicant tracking systems (ADP preferred), job boards, and recruitment marketing tools.
โขFamiliarity with healthcare or mission-driven nonprofit environments is a plus.
โขStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
โขAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
โขHigh degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
โขProficiency with social media platforms for recruitment and employer branding.
โขFluency in English (read, write, speak, comprehend).

โขThis is a Full-time, exempt position.
โขPredictable weekday availability required; hybrid schedule (on-site and remote).
โขAbility to travel locally as needed; may require occasional travel for conference recruiting
โขMust successfully pass FBI and/or CORI background checks.
