These professionals often work for insurance companies, government agencies, or large organizations, and their roles can include claims adjusting, case management, and risk assessment. Their work helps protect both employee rights and employer interests through effective claims handling and policy implementation.

What are some common challenges workers' compensation professionals face when managing claims, and how can they be addressed?

Workers' Compensation professionals often encounter challenges such as handling complex or disputed claims, ensuring timely medical documentation, and coordinating between injured employees, healthcare providers, and employers. Job description

Commercial Refrigeration Field Service Specialist (HVAC/R) Hayward, CA A day in the life

It’s 8:00 AM in Hayward and your first stop is a neighborhood market with a walk-in cooler that isn’t holding temp. You verify pressures, trace an electrical fault, and restore optimal performance. Midday, you head to a restaurant to perform a scheduled PM on an ice machine and freezer, cleaning components and documenting readings. In the afternoon, you install a replacement controller on a reach-in, explain your recommendations to the manager, and update service logs before heading home—another set of businesses running smoothly because of your expertise.

What you’ll take on
  • Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
  • Diagnose performance issues, identify root causes, and restore systems to peak efficiency.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and detailed inspections.
  • Communicate clearly with clients about findings, options, and next steps to deliver exceptional service.
  • Keep precise records of calls, repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
  • Stay current on new refrigeration technologies and industry best practices.
  • Work safely and comply with all applicable codes and safety protocols.
What you bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in refrigeration/HVAC preferred.
  • Hands-on experience as a refrigeration technician (or closely related role).
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration components and system operation.
  • Comfort working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Sharp troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • EPA refrigerant handling certification is a plus.

If this sounds like your next move, send us your resume—we’d love to hear from you.
