Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Workday Adaptive Planning Developer for a contract position. The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling, designing, configuring, and testing solution options in Workday Adaptive Planning. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and serving as a subject matter expert for workforce planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build complex Models, Sheets, Dashboards, Reports, and Integrations in Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Develop workforce planning models for headcount, fulfillment, supply vs. demand, and scenario analysis.
  • Implement custom calculations, assumptions, and business rules to align models with FP&A requirements.
  • Connect Adaptive Planning with Workday HCM and Prism, handling data transformation and validation.
  • Optimize model efficiency by reducing formula complexity and managing large datasets.
  • Automate workflows for forecast submission and approval processes.
  • Assist production support analysts with troubleshooting design, configurations, and integrations.
  • Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides and training materials.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to provide insights on workforce planning strategies and solutions.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in HR Technology projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience configuring and managing Adaptive Planning workforce planning modules within the Workday platform.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of designing and building complex Models, Sheets, Dashboards, Reporting, Administration, and Integrations.
  • Proficiency in HR processes and practices, particularly in Strategic Workforce Planning areas like Headcount & Cost Planning and Resource & Capacity Planning.
  • Experience managing integrations with systems such as Workday Prism Analytics, Tableau, and Core HCM.
  • Familiarity with Technology Development Life Cycle (TDLC) and Agile product delivery frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using the Rally Agile tool.
  • Ability to create Test Scenarios and Cases.
