Job description

Job Summary:
1872 Consulting is seeking a Senior Workday Financials Engineer to partner with business stakeholders in defining, building, and implementing Financial Systems applications and integrations. The role involves designing and supporting integrations, custom reports, and managing the Workday application.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and support integrations between Integration Hub, Workday and other 3rd party applications, utilizing Microsoft SQL Integrations Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory, Workday Electronic Interface Builder (EIBs), Cloud Connectors, and Studio integrations
• Build and facilitate use of Workday web services and APIs
• Administration of the Workday application both with security and configuration
• Design, develop, and support custom Workday reports
• Research the Workday system upgrade content and make recommendations for using new features
• Design, develop, and support Microsoft SQL Server related objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, and functions
• Administration of Microsoft Master Data services (MDS) as it relates to integrations.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience with ERP engineering/software development
• 3+ years of Workday Engineering specifically
• Expert knowledge with Workday development technologies – EIBs, Cloud Connectors, Studio Integrations, Reports
• Expert knowledge of Workday system including Security, Business Processes, Hierarchies, Supervisory Organizations, Custom Organizations, Spend Categories, Revenue Categories, Account Sets, Ledger summaries, and Calculated fields
• Experience doing integrations with Workday and 3rd party applications
Preferred:
• Experience with Workday Report Designer (BIRT)
• Experience with Tableau for analytics and dashboarding
• Experience with Microsoft technologies related to business intelligence including but not limited to SQL Server database, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SSRS
• Understanding of Data Modeling practices, pertaining to relational and dimensional models
• Experience using code repository software, Team Foundation Server or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a team
