Job description

The Work:

  • Oversee multiple functional work streams/domains on a major Workday implementation project (e.g, function as the overall HCM Lead for the project) or function as the lead for the HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Security, etc. work streams
  • Manage functional teams
  • Lead Functional work stream driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to Workday functionality including, but not limited to compensation grades, grade ranges, compensation steps, compensation plans, eligibility rules, advanced compensation configuration and processing -Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet client/functional requirements 
  • Lead, mentor, counsel and manage performance of project staff
  • Architect Workday functional solutioning to ensure that all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
  • Advise clients on industry standards and leading practices
  • Demonstrate design options using prototyping
  • Understand and apply Workday and Accenture methodologies
  • Provide the Project Manager with status updates and keep them apprised of overall project status
  • Demonstrate strong client and stakeholder management to achieve project objectives
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices
  • Support innovation through the creation of new industry leading methods and assets

Here's What You Need:

  • Existing and up to date Workday HCM Partner Certification
  • 4+ years of consulting experience, most recently in a Lead role, or similar level role, preferably with a large consulting firm
  • 2+ years of hands- on experience delivering HCM implementations in a leadership role
  • Experience managing cross functional teams
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience (if an Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years of work experience)
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Prior Federal HR experience
  • 3+ years prior experience implementing Workday with a certified Workday implementer
  • HR knowledge and HR Technology experience in Workday, SAP, Oracle or similar ERP technologies (preferably cloud based)
  • Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client relationship management
  • Demonstrated understanding of the cross functional dependencies and impacts to conversions and integrations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines, despite conflicting demands
