Position Summary

The Workday Financials (FINS) Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and support of the Workday Financials system. Acting as a key liaison between Finance, Human Resources, and IT, this role ensures the system meets business needs and operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday's financial modules, experience with integrations, and proficiency in Workday Prism and Workday Adaptive Planning. Responsibilities include managing system updates, troubleshooting issues, and developing reports and dashboards to support financial operations.

Essential Dues and Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Workday Financials modules, including Reporting, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Business Assets, Procurement, and Banking & Settlement.

  • Configure and optimize Workday Financials functionality to meet evolving business requirements.

  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, and IT teams to gather requirements and implement system enhancements.

  • Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics within Workday.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.

  • Manage system updates, releases, and testing cycles.

  • Provide end-user support and training for Workday Financials features and processes.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies through system configuration and workflows.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements within Workday.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience administering Workday Financials or similar ERP systems.

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with Workday financial reporting modules.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in a mid-to-large organization.

  • Workday Financials certification.

  • Expertise in Workday Adaptive Planning and Workday Prism.

  • Familiarity with integration tools and data migration.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
