Job description

The Workday Financials Analyst supports Workday Financials projects and initiatives aligned with prioritized goals and the Workday roadmap. This role contributes to system enhancements, process improvements, change management, and ongoing optimization by applying hands-on Workday Financials or ERP experience, financial process knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and a strong problem-solving mindset.

  • Support projects and workstreams by recommending enhancements to configuration, functionality, and administration that align with strategic objectives, prioritized initiatives, and the Workday Financials roadmap.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities, process improvements, and scalable recommendations.
  • Support testing efforts, data validation, and quality assurance for new features and enhancements.
  • Document controls, governance processes, and reporting solutions that support consistent system use and decision-making.
  • Manage help desk ticket intake, triage, resolution, and follow-up independently to ensure timely and effective Workday Financials issue resolution.
  • Support change management and user adoption, including training and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support project timelines and deliverables, assisting with successful execution of upgrades and new module implementations.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, or related business systems, preferably including Workday Financials.
  • Understanding of financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, business assets, and financial reporting.
  • Proven ability to support projects and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and business partnering skills, with the ability to develop recommendations and solutions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop practical, scalable solutions.
  • Highly attentive to detail, accountable, and committed to delivering results.
  • Agile, adaptable, and collaborative, with the ability to use critical thinking to support positive change.

Preferred:

  • Workday certifications in Business Process, Security, or related Financials areas.
  • Experience with Workday modules such as Core Financials, Accounting Center, Financial Planning, Prism Analytics, Projects, Procurement, and Expenses.
