The RoleThe Workday Financial Management Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Workday Financial Management and related financial systems. This role partners with Finance, IT, HR, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, support financial processes, manage integrations and security, and maintain data integrity.
The role also brings experience with Workday Adaptive Planning to support the integration of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support Workday Financial Management, including configuration, business processes, security, reporting, and system support.
  • Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Workday solutions and identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Configure and support Workday Financial Management business processes and related functionality.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Workday Financial Management, Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, ERP systems, data warehouses, and other enterprise applications.
  • Manage Workday security, user access, roles, domains, and permissions.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and other reporting solutions.
  • Support data loads, integration troubleshooting, and resolution of data and system issues.
  • Partner with FP&A on the technical integration between Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Support Workday and Adaptive Planning releases, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and change management standards.
  • Collaborate with Workday, Adaptive Planning, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues and optimize system capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise for Adaptive Planning architecture, integrations, security, and data flows while partnering with FP&A on planning and forecasting requirements.
  • Support workforce planning and headcount-related data integration between Workday HCM, Workday Financial Management, and Adaptive Planning.
  • Support Adaptive Planning configuration, including dimensions, levels, accounts, security, integrations, and related technical components, in partnership with FP&A.

IT Responsibilities

  • Provide technical administration and support for Workday Financial Management and related applications.
  • Manage integrations and data flows across Workday, Adaptive Planning, ERP, HR, and reporting platforms.
  • Manage security, access, configuration, and system governance.
  • Support testing, releases, enhancements, and production issue resolution.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.
  • Partner with Finance, IT, vendors, and business teams to deliver scalable solutions and continuous improvements.


Requirements:
  • Experience administering and supporting Workday Financial Management.
  • Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting concepts.
  • Experience with Workday configuration, business processes, security, reporting, and integrations.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and its role in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, data imports/exports, and enterprise data flows.
  • Experience with Workday reporting and data analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of Workday Financial Management experience.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning and integration between Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning.
  • Experience with Workday HCM or other ERP systems.
  • Experience with SQL, APIs, ETL tools, or integration platforms.
  • Experience supporting Finance transformation, automation, or system optimization initiatives.
