JOB TITLE:
Work Study Farm and Ranch Worker - Rodeo
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
Please provide information about the goals/services your area provides. Management skills of farm and ranch, livestock handling, equipment operation. Working with others. Problem solving and utilizing resources to overcome challenges.

Job location: Hansen Arena/LREC Laramie
Pay rate or range: $15/hour
JOB PURPOSE:
Assist feeding/doctoring livestock and Facility maintenance
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Weekend Feed Crew, Skid Steer Operator - sort, doctor and feed livestock. Run skid steer to clean animal housing. Fix and repair fence and other facility needs.
WORK LOCATION:
On-Campus: This position provides vital support to campus customers, and the successful candidate must be available to work and perform essential job functions on campus, understanding our location is at 7,220 feet above sea level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
  • Current UW Student who qualifies for a Work Study Award
  • Experience: Livestock handling experience, equipment experience, drive and back up truck and trailer
  • Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.
    • Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business SAP.

  • Ability to utilize resources to overcome challenges
