Job description

Remote Call Center Representative 

We are looking for people with a passion for helping others who are naturally empathetic and determined to deliver a comprehensive solution to these healthcare-related calls. In this position, you assist customers with questions, inquiries, and issues related to their healthcare coverage. Our call center associates are members of a supportive team. Your excellent customer service and communication skills will help us create positive experiences for our customers and clients. Your punctuality and dependability are key to our clients' success. 

  • The pay rate is $16.00 an hour which may be below your state's minimum wage. Please take this into consideration when applying.  

  • Hours of Operation Monday-Sunday 8:00AM - 10:00PM EST. Must have the flexibility to work anytime during these hours, including weekends & holidays.

  • Training Time: 9:00AM - 6:00PM EST.

  • Training Duration: 7 Weeks in a classroom and 2 weeks Nesting in a supportive environment. 

  • Health benefits, medical, dental and vision are available on 1st day of employment.

  • Paid time off is accrued after 180 days (about 6 months) of employment.

  • Successfully manage 30-40 systems and 25-40 calls per day. 

Responsibilities for Remote Call Center Representative:

  • Manage a steady, high volume of incoming calls from customers. 

  • Computer navigation experience is necessary.

  • You will navigate multiple computer systems at a time while speaking with customers and solving issues by phone. 

  • You must be at your desk for the duration of your shift (other than scheduled breaks and lunch).

  • Receive back-to-back calls in a fast-paced environment for your shift.

About the Healthcare Call Center Role: 

  • Verify coverage, copays, and coinsurances for medical services. 

  • Verify coverage, copays, and coinsurances for medications. Provide members with alternative medications, if needed. 

  • Verify authorization and referrals requirements for medical services. As well as check status on a previously requested auth/referral. 

  • Locate pharmacies and providers that are in the member's network. 

  • Review pharmacy claim status.

  • What is the status of my submitted claim?

Requirements for Remote Call Center Representative:

  • Successfully complete customer service assessment & typing test on a computer (not compatible with mobile devices). 

  • High school diploma, GED, or college degree. 

  • Must have 6 months of customer service experience.

  • Complete a mandatory paid training program with 100% attendance. 

  • Successful completion of a background check is required for this position.  

Equipment and workspace requirements:

  • We provide all the equipment. (Computer, Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Headset, Ethernet Cord, Power Cables)

  • You must have a home internet connection of 25 Download and 10 Upload speed (you can do a quick check through https://www.speedtest.net/)

  • Must be able to hardwire your work computer directly to your home modem via ethernet.(Ensure the available connection meets the minimum bandwidth requirements to perform your job function. Satellite internet and wireless internet are not acceptable

  • Must have a quiet, distraction free workspace.(Workspace must be clutter free, free of distraction, no one is allowed in workspace during working hours, no writing utensils, or unauthorized electronics in the work area)
