Location: This location will be based out of one of our many United Utility Services, LLC offices. (Lanham, MD, Commerce City, Co, New Orleans, LA, Spring, TX, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Charlotte, NC)
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

About The Role
The Work Management Specialist is responsible for providing support to field operations groups throughout the work order management, reporting, and closeout processes. The position interacts daily with operations, project management, and accounting personnel to ensure proper utilization and reporting of the Daily Field Report (DFR) process for revenue capture and the electronic timesheet process for cost capture. The WMS supports on-line work control processes, assists with the development of work packages, tracks work order status, reports status of work completed, and ensures that all project documentation is collected and submitted for project closeout.
Key Responsibilities
  • Primary point of communications with the customer on work order scheduling, status, changes, redlines and closeout.
  • Provide field support for work order revision/field changes, problem resolution, and interpretation.
  • Provide office support for the execution of work in the field.
  • Coordinate with customer for order and delivery of major materials.
  • Take ownership of customer issues until resolved, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Report job status details to operations personnel and others as requested.
  • Collaborate with other work groups to ensure desired customer experience.
  • Coordinate with field operations to ensure all work order closeout requirements are met and all necessary documentation, forms, explanations, redlines, and changes are collected and submitted timely.
  • Ensure all field reporting is submitted, approved, and recorded in a timely manner.
  • Prepare invoice packet with all customer and UU required documentation to send to billing department. Coordinate with billing personnel to facilitate timely, accurate invoicing.
  • Oversee the daily field reporting process to capture revenue and ensure accurate reporting and realization of the data coming in from the field.
  • Oversee the daily electronic timesheet reporting process to ensure costs are accurately assigned to jobs.
  • Prepare weekly timesheet files to submit to payroll.
  • Assist in reconciling work order materials, labor, and equipment to represent actual field construction.
  • Prepare for close-out of construction work orders in work management system and assist in resolving errors.
  • Assist with managing field office and personnel supply needs.

Key Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient in work management and related computer applications.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet.
  • Must have at least five (3) years of relevant experience with experience in the distribution operations/construction industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing/maintaining project plans and schedules is preferred.
  • Experience reading, evaluating, interpreting, and communicating provisions of contracts is preferred.
  • Must have experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions.
  • Must be proficient with PC operating systems and in several basic software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Must be skilled in oral and written communication and fundamentals of work scheduling.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, integrity and trust.
  • Must actively demonstrate the United Utility company values and support the United Utility Ethics and Standards.

Key Nice-To-Haves
  • Knowledge of power delivery (transmission/distribution) work processes is preferred.
