Job description

Core Responsibilities


  • Develops project plan and schedule for asset transfer and plan level financial transactions. Documents clearly and precisely complex money movement events to external parties (e.g. client, prior trustee, prior recordkeeper, etc.). Can communicate these complexities to the client. Documents complex money movement events to external parties clearly and precisely (e.g. client, prior trustee, prior RK, etc.). Works with project teams to ensure accurate (fund related) system set up and file creation. Ensures test scenarios capture unique aspects of money movement (trade date, funds).
  • Confirms fund line-up and any fund specific issues. Is knowledgeable on every fund in the line-up (including stock, stable value and outside funds) and every fund in the line-up at the prior record keeper. Works closely with the Relationship Manager, Sales Executive, and senior client Treasury/HR contacts regarding client pricing issues related to investment revenue sharing.
  • Implements money movement and asset transfer for all plan funds including special money movement situations like "next day settlement" and "confirmed purchase". Develops and monitors project plan and schedule for the investment aspect of the project and works independently with the prior trustee to coordinate money movement and re-registration of assets.
  • Conducts money movement meetings across all internal and external stakeholders. Solicits resources, coordinates money movement team, and ensures all necessary groups are included. Coordinates fund closings and openings. Works closely with Investment Services Resources for Outside Funds and Brokerage investments.
  • Mitigates any risks associated with the asset transfer. Documents clearly such risks and creates mitigation plans and solutions.
  • Reconciles plan level financial transactions to participant records and money received. Oversees the loading, editing, and updating of money movement files (sequence, reject resolution, update and follow up verification/reconciliation).
  • Coordinates fund closings and openings. Work closely with Investment Services Resources for Outside Funds and Brokerage investments.
  • Acts as the primary contact for Prior Trustee/Investment Manager, IRPS Control Services, IRPS Reconciliation, Fund Accounting, large Transactions, QEG, Fund Managers, Company Stock, Stable Value, etc.
  • Initiates and follows-up on any Legal documents to ensure all are in place by the valuation date (employer selections of funds, NDS/CP legal agreement). Positions the use of these documents with the client's internal and external counsel.
  • Reviews fund related participant communications and works with Participant Education to ensure that all investment literature is fresh and up to date. Drafts participant text when applicable.
  • Reports transfer amounts and solicits the prior record keeper for updates as valuation date approaches (asset transfer report).
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years related work experience in the Financial Services industry. Experience in client services preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required.
