As a work from home social worker, your duties are to provide home-based support for each client or case you are assigned. In this remote role, you may communicate with families using a phone, email, or other virtual platforms. Your responsibilities are to advocate for your clients’ needs, help families or individuals receive and make use of available resources, and otherwise offer assistance as necessary. Some remote social workers focus entirely on case management, which means little or no direct interaction with clients, while other social workers provide direct service and support. For example, some remote social workers work with students or patients who have difficulty getting out of a hospital bed.
