Job description

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Control Coordinator (LOTO) opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC
Work Control Coordinator (LOTO)-
The Work Control Coordinator (LOTO) will support a multi-year construction project involving significant civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and site infrastructure construction.
Duties:
  • Coordinate Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and hazardous energy control activities in support of construction, testing, and system turnover.
  • Develop, review, and coordinate LOTO plans, isolation boundaries, and associated work control documentation.
  • Verify energy sources, isolation points, system boundaries, and required protective measures prior to implementation.
  • Coordinate LOTO requirements with Construction, Work Control, Engineering, Safety, Testing, Commissioning, and other affected organizations.
  • Perform field walkdowns to verify equipment identification, isolation points, system configuration, and LOTO boundaries.
  • Ensure LOTO activities comply with project procedures, OSHA requirements, and applicable site work control requirements.
  • Coordinate installation, verification, modification, and removal of locks and tags in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Maintain accurate LOTO logs, permits, isolation documentation, and status records.
  • Support work package development by identifying required isolations and hazardous energy controls.
  • Coordinate LOTO activities associated with mechanical, piping, electrical, testing, and commissioning work.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies involving equipment identification, system boundaries, isolation points, and work documentation.
  • Support turnover and system energization activities while maintaining proper control of hazardous energy.

Skills/Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of LOTO, work control, operations, electrical/mechanical maintenance, construction, or related industrial experience.
  • Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and hazardous energy control requirements.
  • Experience developing, coordinating, or implementing LOTO/isolation activities in an industrial or construction environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical one-lines, P&IDs, drawings, system diagrams, procedures, and work packages.
  • Experience performing field walkdowns and verifying equipment, system boundaries, and isolation points.
  • Knowledge of OSHA hazardous energy control requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous DOE, nuclear, power generation, industrial, or highly regulated project experience.
  • Experience with formal DOE/nuclear LOTO and work control programs.
  • Experience coordinating mechanical and electrical system isolations.
  • Experience supporting construction testing, commissioning, turnover, or system energization.
  • Previous Savannah River Site or other DOE site experience.
