Job Description
Windows Server Engineer (Full-time / Minneapolis, MN)
Overview
The Windows Server Engineer is a technical consulting position as part of our Managed Services Team which provides support for server, database, network, and storage systems in enterprise datacenters. In this role, you will manage, maintain and provide support for Windows and VMware servers for our clients at their location.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative services to clients, design server management solutions, and analyze and resolve complex infrastructure and systems issues
  • Partner collaboratively with team and customers to design and implement solutions to business needs
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and issues with Windows infrastructure and hardware
Required Skills and Experience
  • At least four years of with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2, or newer
  • At least three years technical experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting enterprise-server class hardware
  • Strong working knowledge and diverse installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience with VMware vSphere and ESX or Hyper-V
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Exchange Administration
  • Experience working in datacenter with at least 100 servers
  • Willingness and demonstrated ability to jump in and troubleshoot issues with new or unknown technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives interacting with staff across departmental levels
