This program requires US Citizenship
The Wyse Windows Administrator will manage Windows and thin client environments, utilizing tools such as MECM, Wyse Management Suite, 10ZiG Manager, and HP Web Jetadmin. In this role, the administrator is responsible for configuring and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and maintaining the overall environment to ensure systems are current, secure, and properly maintained. The administrator will ensure devices meet established security standards, including managing software distribution, antivirus updates, and patch management. Additionally, this role is responsible for optimizing system performance to minimize disruptions and ensure operational efficiency, as well as reviewing and validating work completed by teammates and junior engineers, as appropriate.
Responsibilities:
  • Wyse Management Suite (WMS) Administration: Register, configure, and manage thin clients running ThinOS, ThinLinux, and Windows Embedded Standard.
  • Imaging and Firmware Deployment: Pull, push, and update firmware (ThinOS 8.x/9.x) and images (WES) to devices, including BIOS updates.
  • Policy Configuration: Create and deploy global, group-level, or device-level policies for security, display, keyboard, and VDI brokering (Citrix, VMware, RDP).
  • VDI Environment Support: Integrate thin clients with Citrix StoreFront, VMware Horizon, and Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Application Management: Deploy and update software packages on Windows Embedded clients.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for endpoint hardware, perform remote shadowing, and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Security & Lockdown: Implement security policies to lockdown devices, configure USB redirection, and set up Active Directory/SAML authentication.
  • Providing advanced support for end-users, troubleshooting issues related to virtual desktops, applications, and connectivity.
  • Provide Tier-III assistance to maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, repair and optimize services to include hardware, software, and network components necessary to deliver the latest secured desktop environment
  • Ensure regular maintenance of all physical IT equipment to ensure compliance with all applicable Cyber Tasking Orders (CTO) from higher HQ's.
  • Ensure continued service on devices configured in accordance with DoD security policies.
  • Troubleshoot and correct detected or reported system and network faults or outages
  • Ensure that issues are investigated and resolved and that necessary equipment repairs are performed and documented
  • Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of the environment, including configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Working closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and support of IT solutions within the broader IT infrastructure.
  • Communicating clearly and succinctly both written and orally, have strong leadership skills, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner.
  • Perform administrative and engineering functions found in the service design domain and provide escalated support for problem management.

Required Qualifications/Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Must have an active TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • CompTIA Security + (IAT Level II or Higher )
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Windows Administration; In-depth knowledge and experience with windows and Linux systems, Aria, and installation, configuration, and administration
  • Experience with the Wyse Management Suite (WMS)
  • Imaging and Firmware Deployment: Pull, push, and update firmware (ThinOS 8.x/9.x) and images (WES) to devices, including BIOS updates
  • Policy Configuration: Create and deploy global, group-level, or device-level policies for security, display, keyboard, and VDI brokering (Citrix, VMware, RDP)
  • Application Management: Deploy and update software packages on Windows Embedded clients
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for endpoint hardware, perform remote shadowing, and resolve connectivity issues
