Job Summary/Description:  

The person we are looking for is a Digital Champion -- a leader who is ready to win breaking news and severe weather coverage on our powerhouse website, apps, social media, and other platforms.

Responsibilities will be to lead, plan, and execute a daily strategy including trending stories throughout the market. Proactively seek out fresh web content. Be an aggressive web ambassador in the newsroom.


This person will report to the News Director and is expected to lead a high-performing team of Digital Producers responsible for guiding all aspects of our digital and streaming news content. We are seeking a strong, visionary, and accomplished leader who must be a team player with excellent leadership, written and verbal communication skills. Our candidate will be required to be forward-thinking, and highly adept at dealing with the rapidly evolving digital, steaming, and social marketplace.

Please note - primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the information listed above 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Strong writing skills and news judgment with the ability to carry a news story across web, mobile, and social media.
- A college degree in Journalism or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience working on a news website is preferred.
