About the Role:

Lakeside School, an independent 5-12 coeducational day school located in North Seattle is currently recruiting for a Wide Receivers Coach. The season is scheduled to begin Wednesday, August 19, 2026 and concludes in mid-November. Required pre-season coaches meetings will take place the week of August 10, 2026.

Responsibilities

This coach, reporting to the football program head, will join an athletics program that includes 26 varsity teams, most of which have both sub-varsity and middle-school counterparts. The football program supports a varsity and JV team. This coach will be responsible for coaching duties with their team, as well as other program-wide duties as assigned by the football program head. Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Compliance with all Lakeside School, Metro League, and WIAA policies and procedures.
  2. Commitment to providing supports, messaging, actions, and opportunities to a diverse student body who come to school with different and evolving lived experiences and levels of preparation as athletes.
  3. Supervision and instruction of student-athletes during team activities.
  4. Manage the day-to-day operations from field set-up to game-day preparations to coordination of support staff.
  5. Maintenance and inventory of team equipment and apparel.
  6. Attendance at required program and interscholastic athletics program meetings.
  7. Support of multi-sport participation for student-athletes.
  8. Promotion of balanced achievement in all areas of school life for student-athletes.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. At least 19 years of age, with a clean driving record preferred.
  2. Availability for all practices and competitions from 3 pm daily during their coaching season with availability on weekends as required.
  3. Experience coaching football at the middle school, high school, or college level.
  4. Demonstrated cultural awareness, including knowledge of themselves and the cultural lenses they bring to interactions. Candidates will understand different perspectives, interact respectfully with cultures other than their own, and cultivate meaningful relationships with people who have different cultural frameworks.
  5. Possess or obtain prior to the start of the season current First Aid/CPR certification.
  6. Satisfactorily complete two criminal background checks.

Compensation and Benefits

Stipend Range: $5,500 - $6,000

We offer a stipend schedule that compares favorably with peer schools and clubs both locally and nationally. Coaching stipends are paid in monthly installments during the primary competition seasons.
